Gangseo-gu Completes Recruitment of 4,000 Participants for Heo Jun Run and Launches New Magok District Course on the 10th
Gangseo-gu has completed the recruitment of approximately 4,000 participants for the athletic event 'Heo Jun Run' to be held on the 10th. This year's event features a newly added course passing through the central roads of the Magok District, in addition to the existing Seoul Botanic Park and Hangang Citizen Park courses, presenting a configuration that runs through both the city center and nature.
Road Control and Safety Personnel Deployment due to the Operation of the New Magok District Course
Gangseo-gu will control the roads around Seoul Botanic Park from 7:20 AM to 9:00 AM on the day of the event, the 10th. The detailed control times for each section are: Magokjungang-ro from 7:20 AM to 8:30 AM, Yangcheon-ro until 8:40 AM, and Magokdong-ro until 8:50 AM.
For safety management, Gangseo-gu will deploy 137 safety management personnel, including police and the Exemplary Drivers Association, across all sections including Seoul Botanic Park and Hangang Citizen Park. Additionally, ambulances and Automated External Defibrillators (AED) will be stationed on-site to prepare for emergency situations.
Discount Benefits in Magok District Commercial Areas for Medal Holders who Complete the Race
This year's Heo Jun Run aims to revitalize the local economy in connection with the Magok District commercial areas. From the 10th to the 11th, 52 stores within the large shopping mall One Grove will provide discount benefits of up to 30% to participants who present their Heo Jun Run finisher medal and bib number.
In the Magok Art Street, 11 stores will continue to offer discount benefits to medal holders until the 31st. Jin Gyo-hun, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, explained that this year's Heo Jun Run was prepared to allow participants to feel both the urban center and nature of Gangseo by newly establishing the Magok District road course for the first time, and stated that they will do their best in on-site safety management so that participants can safely complete the race.
