An owner who operates a pet-friendly pension and pet-friendly restaurants is in distress due to the barking and biting of the dogs. According to a video from the KBS show 'Dogs Are Incredible' broadcast on August 7, 2023, this owner is a mother to six dogs: eleven-year-old Moni, nine-year-old Sarangi and Baekdu, eight-year-old Chorongi, six-year-old Yongi, and three-year-old Lia.

The biggest problem is the barking. Guests visiting the pension said they felt intimidated and scared because loud dog sounds occurred whenever they passed by. Some reactions included being unable to enter because the dogs bark so much as soon as they arrive, and their size is so large that it is frightening. They bark so much and are so noisy that one might wonder if the owner's ears hurt. The owner confessed that during the peak season, almost every day, one or two teams request refunds because they could not sleep due to the dogs. Six-year-old Yongi was introduced as barking incessantly without rest. During the broadcast, it was mentioned that a separate information desk might be necessary.

11-year-old Moni's sudden biting

Biting is also a concern. The eldest, Moni, barks uniquely at the village head for 11 years, and the owner said they do not know the reason. Moni sometimes suddenly approaches people they do not like and bites their jaw. The owner also mentioned a time when they tried to enter the entrance, but Moni suddenly bit the back of their leg through their pants, forcing them to come back out. The owner said that as Moni's body becomes painful and movement becomes difficult, it seems they bite because of it, and expressed the greatest worry that Moni might do the same to guests since it is a place where people come and go.

Moni has lumps on both sides of the hips. The owner explained that because of this, it puts strain on the joints and seems like the muscle is being completely lost, adding that most large dogs with significant weight suffer from poor hind legs as they age. During the broadcast, it was mentioned that Moni is afraid of fly swatters, but the owner stated they have never once hit Moni with something like a fly swatter in 11 years.

An indecisive owner, changed relationships between dogs within a month

The owner also pointed to their own attitude as a problem. They feel that when scolding the dogs, they should be firm, and even to their own eyes, they should be firm when it is time to be firm, but they feel unable to do so. The owner revealed the reason as the thought of how much longer the dogs will live and that one never knows when they might pass away.
