Heartwarming Story of German Flight Attendant Who Adopted Stray Dog in Argentina
German flight attendant Olivia Sievers adopted Rubio after the stray dog faithfully waited for her outside a Buenos Aires hotel.
[Dog News=Reporter Ji Mi-ok] The remarkable bond between a German flight attendant and a stray dog in Argentina has been revealed.
On the 8th (local time), animal-focused media outlet The Dodo reported the story of German flight attendant Olivia Sievers and a stray dog named Rubio.
Olivia, who works as a flight attendant, regularly traveled between Germany and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Olivia, a longtime animal lover, happened to meet Rubio roaming the streets outside a hotel in Argentina early this year. Feeling sorry for the dog, she gave Rubio some food.
After that, Rubio waited for her outside the hotel every day.
“I tried various ways to stop Rubio from waiting for me at the hotel, but whenever I stepped outside, Rubio would invariably come running,” Olivia said. “Rubio seemed so happy simply to receive someone’s attention.”
Olivia returned home to Germany because of her flight schedule, but Rubio did not forget Olivia.
When she returned to the same hotel for another assignment to Buenos Aires, Rubio appeared before her, sitting in the same spot.
Their bond continued, and recently she formally adopted Rubio and brought him to Germany.
“Rubio had always been looking for people who would stay, and then we met,” Olivia said. “From now on, Rubio will live happily forever as part of our family in our home.”
