6 questions to ask yourself before raising a pet
Six questions about lifelong commitment, daily time, lifestyle, training, living arrangements and finances before getting a pet.
[FAM Times = Reporter Woo Ji-young] "When a person comes, it is actually a tremendous thing. Because a person's entire life comes with them."
Poet Jeong Hyeon-jong, through his poem '방문객', reminds us of the weight and significance of an encounter. Bringing a pet into your home is also an act of accepting its life. Raising a pet is not as simple as putting a book bought from a bookstore onto a bookshelf. Therefore, before raising a pet, one must contemplate whether they are truly capable of living with one.
American pet expert Andrea Arden introduced six questions to consider before bringing a pet into your home.
▲ Are you prepared to commit to the pet until the end of its life?
▲ How many hours a day can you invest to ensure the pet enjoys the best possible life?
▲ Which type of pet will best suit my lifestyle?
▲ Are you prepared to train a pet that is not yet ready to live with a family?
▲ Do you live in an environment suitable for living with a pet? Do the people you live with agree to having a pet in the home?
▲ Do you have the financial means to handle serious health issues for the pet?
