Pet Hotels Offer Many Advantages in Cost and Satisfaction
Pet hotels provide feeding, walks, first aid, grooming, playtime and other flexible care options while owners travel.
In an article, hobby and pet-focused publication WiseGeek explained, “Pet hotels are facilities that provide a form of care service and can be used when owners are away from home or unable to care for their pets for a certain period.” The services and quality of facilities vary widely from hotel to hotel. However, basics such as feeding, walking services, and first aid are essentially the same at all hotels. WiseGeek noted, “Owners can choose the services they want.” Playtime or grooming services can be added.
Hotel accommodations may consist of traditional kennels or spacious outdoor enclosures. Pets can watch television to relieve boredom. Some hotels provide massages and swimming pools so pets can enjoy water activities such as swimming. They may also offer grooming services such as teeth cleaning and nail trimming.
Some facilities primarily care for pets during the daytime. WiseGeek reported, “Pet hotels offer a very broad range of services. More and more people are regularly using dedicated hotels instead of hiring pet sitters.”
Taking a pet along on vacation can also be a good idea, but in some cases guests may have to pay an additional fee at a regular hotel and may be required to use a specific type of room. Fortunately, some hotels also provide pet walking trails, pet food, and information about nearby pet-friendly facilities.
