[FAM Times = Reporter Woo Ji-young] Taking photos with a pet dog is difficult. Whether they know their owner's intentions or not, pet dogs move around constantly. They seem to move even more actively or refuse to listen specifically when it is time to take a photo. On one crowdfunding platform, a product designed to induce pet dogs to look at the camera has even appeared. As such, taking photos with a pet dog is a challenge for pet owners. How can one take good photos with their pet dog?

Match their eye level

Pet owners should match their eye level with their pet dogs. If you look down from above, the dog may not look at the camera because its neck hurts. Also, the dog might feel a sense of aversion to photography, thinking the owner is staring at them with a strange machine from above. If you lower your posture to take photos, the dog's expression will become more natural, allowing you to capture prettier photos.

Attract their attention

You should use toys or treats to encourage your dog to look at the camera. A toy that makes a sound is even better. Drawing attention through both sight and sound can make dogs more responsive. However, you must control the amount of treats you give. Giving too many may leave the dog full or tired.

The most important thing: the owner's mindset

Pet owners must not be impatient. Once you start getting rushed, the pet dogs notice it and become more anxious. Also, you should not force them to fix their gaze on the camera. You can capture lovely and pretty moments even if they do not look directly at the camera. If the pet dog shows signs of anxiety, you should pet them to help them calm down.
