How to make yuja syrup and yuja tea
Yuja syrup and quick yuja tea recipes using fresh yuja, including a syrup-free version with yuja peel, juice and pear.
This article introduces the secrets to making yuja syrup and a simple way to make yuja tea at home using only yuja if you don't have syrup.
1. Soak the yuja in water with vinegar for 5 minutes. Rubbing it vigorously with coarse salt is also effective.
2. Remove the yuja seeds.
3. Separate the yuja pulp from the peel.
4. To make the syrup, simply grind the yuja pulp and peel together.
5. Mix the ground yuja with oligosaccharide and grain syrup in a 2:1:1 ratio.
6. Place it in a glass jar sterilized with boiling water and store it in the refrigerator to complete the yuja syrup.
Making yuja tea without syrup
1. Clean the yuja to be used for the tea thoroughly with baking powder.
2. When preparing the yuja, remove the pulp and set the peel aside.
3. Squeeze the yuja pulp for juice, and julienne the yuja peel and pear.
4. Add 1 spoon of oligosaccharide, the yuja peel, pear, and yuja juice into a teacup, pour hot water, and the yuja tea is ready.
