Sea snails, a favorite snack for many when drinking

The sea snails used in cans are processed food products. In the case of whole sea snails, they tend to be quite large. Representative Korean dishes using sea snails include sea snail soup and seasoned sea snail salad, with the latter being a popular menu item in many restaurants. We introduce a recipe for sea snail bibim-myeon (spicy noodles with sea snails), a snack that is easy to make at home.

Ingredients: Bibim-myeon (spicy noodles), bibim-myeon sauce, canned sea snails, carrot, cucumber, green chili pepper, sesame oil, sesame seeds, gochujang (red chili paste), red chili powder, soy sauce, vinegar

Cooking Process

1. Take the sea snails out of the can, rinse them thoroughly under running water, and slice them into bite-sized pieces.

2. Wash the carrot, cucumber, and green chili pepper, then slice them thinly.

3. Boil the bibim-myeon in a pot. Once cooked, drain the noodles and rinse them thoroughly with cold water.

4. Place the noodles, sea snails, carrot, cucumber, and green chili pepper in a bowl, add the bibim-myeon sauce, and mix well so the seasoning is absorbed. If more seasoning is needed, add gochujang, red chili powder, soy sauce, and vinegar.

5. Sprinkle sesame oil and sesame seeds on top, transfer to a plate, and enjoy.
