In the 'KBS Animal Club' broadcast on June 1, 2008, stories were shared regarding the abandoned dog 'Bbang-shichu', who suffered from eye injuries and breathing difficulties, as well as dogs left in an empty house after their owner collapsed, and a mother dog's family living in a dangerous area in a redevelopment zone.

Bbang-shichu, who suffered from eye rupture and breathing difficulties, recovers through emergency surgery

The abandoned dog 'Bbang-shichu', known through a report, is said to have lived on the streets for about 1 to 2 years. Bbang-shichu's eye condition was very poor, making it difficult for the dog to consume food on its own. In the video, Bbang-shichu was in a state where it could not properly see the food dropped in front of its eyes, requiring it to be fed with a spoon. After the fur was shaved, the right eye was revealed to be in very poor condition, with pus discharging and the pupil turned red.

As a result of the hospital examination, Bbang-shichu's condition was even more serious. Emitting heavy breaths, Bbang-shichu showed symptoms of pulmonary edema, where water fills the lungs, and the condition of the bronchial tubes was also poor. In particular, the right eye was confirmed to be almost ruptured, making eye removal surgery inevitable. Fortunately, the surgery proceeded, and in the subsequent video, the dog appeared looking cleaner than before after completing the surgery.

Two dogs in an empty house neglected for fifteen days after the owner collapsed

In an empty house in Daegu, two dogs were discovered neglected for about fifteen days after an elderly female owner collapsed. According to testimony from a neighbor, after the grandmother was hospitalized, only the dogs were left inside the house. The house visited by the rescue team was in a state of total neglect, to the point where dog waste was openly left throughout the room because no human touch had reached the inside of the house for a long time.

The dogs found in the room showed tension and wariness at the appearance of strangers. In particular, one dog was so poorly managed that its fur was severely matted and would not come off, while another showed a dramatic and sensitive reaction, resisting during the rescue process. The rescued dogs were moved to a shelter, where they received health checkups and vaccinations while waiting for new homes.

The lives of a mother dog and her puppies in the dangerous environment of a redevelopment area

A mother dog and three puppies were also discovered in a two-story building in a redevelopment area facing demolition. This was a dangerous environment to step into, but the three puppies, which were not long after birth, were maintaining a relatively healthy state. In the video, circumstances were captured suggesting that they were receiving some care from an owner, as it could be seen through their eating of feed that there was an owner or someone providing food.

As a result of the on-site inspection, it was found that security personnel in the area were looking after the dogs. The production team persuaded the owner for the sake of the mother dog and the puppies, who were placed in a poor environment that could threaten their lives. After completing health checkups and vaccinations, the rescued mother dog and puppies were moved to a safer and more pleasant home and underwent an adaptation period.
