[What to Eat Today?] 'Altoran' Jujube Ginger Syrup and Kimchi Stir-fried Pork Recipes
Jujube-ginger syrup can be used in fish, dried seafood and braised dishes, as well as in stir-fried pork with kimchi.
When the weather gets cold, warm teas such as jujube tea and ginger tea come to mind. 'Altoran' presented a jujube-ginger syrup combining jujube and ginger. Here is a recipe for the syrup, which can be used in various dishes, including stir-fried pork with kimchi, fish dishes, dried seafood dishes and braised dishes.
How to make Altoran Jujube Ginger Syrup?
1. Cut 1 kg of jujubes and remove the pits.
2. Spread out the pitted jujubes and slice them thinly.
3. Break 1kg of cleaned ginger into pieces.
4. Use a knife or brush to peel the skin well, then slice into thin pieces.
5. Soak the sliced ginger in water to remove the starch.
6. Put 1L of water in a pot and add the prepared jujubes and ginger.
7. Add 1.5 cups of plum syrup and 2.5kg of brown sugar.
8. Once it starts boiling over high heat, boil for another 20 to 30 minutes.
9. Once the jujube ginger syrup is complete, let it cool and place it in a glass jar.
How to make Altoran Kimchi Stir-fried Pork?
1. Make the seasoning sauce by adding 2 tbsp of jujube ginger syrup, 5 tbsp of medium-coarse red pepper powder, and 3 tbsp of minced garlic.
2. Cut 300g of pork front leg meat into bite-sized pieces.
3. Add the pork to the seasoning sauce and mix well.
4. Add 2 pinches of pepper and 1 tsp of salt and mix.
5. Cut 1/4 head of kimchi into bite-sized pieces.
6. Pour 3 tbsp of cooking oil into a heated pan.
7. Stir-fry the marinated pork, then add the kimchi and stir-fry together.
8. Add 5 tbsp of water.
9. Add half an onion, thinly sliced.
10. Drizzle with 2 tbsp of sesame oil and sprinkle with an appropriate amount of ground sesame-and-salt seasoning.
