On the 27th, “Soo-mi’s Side Dishes” aired an episode in which Kim Soo-mi shared easy-to-make side-dish recipes. The featured dishes were stir-fried potato strips, loved by people of all ages, and an unusual green onion kimchi. Let’s take a look at both recipes.
Ingredients: Potatoes, canned ham, onion, peppers
1. Trim the ends of the potatoes and cut them into thin strips.
2. Cut the carrot, onion, and ham into strips about the same size as the potatoes.
3. Place the potatoes in an oiled pan and stir-fry them first over medium heat.
4. Once the potatoes are sufficiently stir-fried, add the canned ham.
5. Add the onion and Cheongyang chili pepper. The canned ham will release oil, so there is no need to add more.
6. Finish with half a tablespoon of sesame oil.
Ingredients: Green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, fish sauce, red pepper powder
1. Cut the green onions into bite-sized pieces, using mainly the stalks.
2. Add 2/3 tablespoon of minced garlic and half a tablespoon of minced ginger.
3. Add four tablespoons of fish sauce and red pepper powder to taste.
4. Mix everything together. The green onions will release moisture, making the mixture moist.
5. Finish by sprinkling with sesame seeds.
