WayV members XIAOJUN and Yang Yang visited the Nagwon Musical Instrument Arcade in Jongno-gu, Seoul, spending a special time interacting with local instrument merchants. According to the VISIT SEOUL YouTube channel 'My Seoul Friend' video, the two members captured the scenery of Nagwon Musical Instrument Arcade while performing four missions: instrument repair, making friends, purchasing instruments, and eating.

The touch of a craftsman with 40 years of experience, repairing a 15-year-old guitar

XIAOJUN and Yang Yang first visited an instrument shop in Nagwon Musical Instrument Arcade to repair a 15-year-old guitar. The shop has occupied the same spot for about 40 years, and the participants in the video described it as "a craftsman's space that creates works of art." The guitar brought by XIAOJUN had several defects, such as battery issues, twin issues, and poor microphone and speaker connections, but the craftsman demonstrated professional skills while inspecting them.

The craftsman on site expressed his skilled technical ability, mentioning that "if you leave it elsewhere, it could take a year." Additionally, he shared instrument maintenance know-how by advising the members, who were looking to purchase instrument strings, that for professional performers, coated strings with a bronze feel are better to use. The merchant added that they are three to four times longer-lasting than regular strings, making them better for playing.

"Do you know NCT singers?" Musical communication across generations

Nagwon Musical Instrument Arcade is a historical place that many famous musicians have passed through. The merchant in the video said that famous artists such as Jannabi, Jeong-hun, and DOYOUNG have visited this place since their middle and high school years to continue their musical activities. XIAOJUN and Yang Yang continued their conversation with the merchants by revealing that they are singers belonging to NCT.

The merchant was initially unfamiliar with the group NCT, but when XIAOJUN explained again as "NCT WayV," he responded warmly and continued the conversation. In particular, one merchant created a pleasant atmosphere by mentioning his past experience of dreaming of becoming a comedian, and they built a friendship that transcends generations by taking commemorative photos with the members. The merchant also sent a message of support to the members, saying, "Since NCT WayV's new song is out, I think it will do well."

An instrument merchant's bass playing and a sudden duet

Impromptu performances mediated by music continued throughout the instrument arcade. At one shop, XIAOJUN and Yang Yang visited and shared musical communion by performing an impromptu duet of 'One For Tonight' with a local performer. The participants conveyed the atmosphere of the scene, saying, "It's our first time matching, but the feeling is so good."

At another shop specializing in bass, a merchant drew attention by personally demonstrating bass playing. While talking to customers who were consigning a used bass worth 5 million won for sale and others looking to purchase practical (combat-ready) basses for under 1 million won, the merchant also played NCT's songs on the bass and harmonized with the members. The merchant responded to the members' interest in "wanting to learn the bass," showing the vibrant musical culture unique to the instrument arcade.
