Gangneung's BF BEACH and ARTE MUSEUM GANGNEUNG... Barrier-free tourist destinations where people with disabilities can walk without restrictions

According to the 'TOUR 4 ALL FILM' video released by Korea Tourism Organization TV, a barrier-free tourism journey in Gangneung was conducted with the group Big Ocean and Nanum Travel. This trip was organized around barrier-free tourist spots such as Gangneung's BF BEACH, ARTE MUSEUM GANGNEUNG, and Gyeongpo Lake, and included plogging activities walking along the sea and pine forests.

From BF BEACH to Gyeongpo Lake, a Gangneung journey containing environment and communication

In the video, participants practiced plogging to protect the environment while enjoying the natural scenery of Gangneung. Through the activity of picking up trash while walking along the sea and pine forests of BF BEACH, they added a mindset of thinking about the environment to the joy of travel. In particular, this journey focused on the process of people with disabilities and people without disabilities walking the streets together, talking, and communicating.

Participants shared their impressions that the moments of walking the streets together and having conversations were the best. Through this communication, they experienced narrowing the distance between people, and many companions and volunteers participated together, adding meaning to the trip.

The value of open travel that is like a 'gift' to people with disabilities

The performer appearing in the video expressed that regarding open travel, "from the perspective of a person with a disability, it is like a gift." They expressed expectations that, based on the courage gained through this trip, other travel destinations can be discovered together in the future. The importance of barrier-free tourist destinations where people with disabilities and people without disabilities can move and enjoy without restrictions was emphasized through this Gangneung journey.

Participants used expressions such as "it is happiness," "it is an open door together," "it is a keychain," "it is a stepping stone," and "it is a gift" regarding open travel, conveying the need for an environment where anyone can fully enjoy moments of travel.
