Golden Child's Lee Jang-jun shares reflections on his first Chuseok in his 30s and childhood memories in Haenam

Lee Jang-jun, a member of the group Golden Child, shared his journey home to his hometown of Haenam for his first Chuseok in his 30s, along with memories from his childhood.

In the video, Lee Jang-jun expressed his excitement about facing the holiday, noting that it is the first such holiday he has experienced since entering his 30s. He stated that the journey home is quite long, as his maternal relatives are in Goesan, China, and his paternal relatives are in Ttangkkeut Village, Haenam, Jeollanam-do. He shared a humorous reflection, noting that while he used to stand on his tiptoes to look taller when greeting people during his childhood, he now feels as though he is actually getting shorter.

Lee Jang-jun recalled the difficulties and joys he experienced during past holidays. He mentioned that he sometimes departed at 3 or 4 in the morning out of fear of the long hours spent in the car, but emphasized that the joy of seeing his grandmother was great. He mentioned his grandmother, who turned 103 this year, and shared that he is traveling with his family to visit her this Chuseok as well.

Recalling his childhood in his hometown of Haenam, Lee Jang-jun specifically listed experiences he had with nature. Along with memories of grilling meat in his grandmother's yard, he revealed anecdotes of enjoying insect collecting in the oak forest behind the house. He shared a dizzying experience where, while trying to catch a stag beetle, he accidentally caught a giant hornet in his insect net. He recalled that as soon as he released the giant hornet he had caught, he was stung on the thigh, causing it to swell so much that it was difficult to walk the next day.

Lee Jang-jun also mentioned how his grandmother applied medicated ointment to him at the time. Furthermore, he calmly recounted scenes of rural life, such as spending time in nature catching crayfish, bullfrogs, and snakes, as well as the police station puppy and the old tableware remaining in the house.
