Stray Kids Felix, recording scene where he breaks a sweat to cover Kim Dong-ryul's 'Should I Say I Love You Again?'

Stray Kids member Felix showcased a different low-register vocal tone while covering Kim Dong-ryul's song 'Should I Say I Love You Again?'. In the 'SKZ CODE' Ep.104 video released on the official Stray Kids YouTube channel on the 24th, the ballad recording process, which Felix had proposed as a promise, and the music video planning process based on it were captured.

In the video, Felix showed himself concentrating to record Kim Dong-ryul's 'Should I Say I Love You Again?'. Regarding the reason for selecting this song, Felix stated, "I had many conversations like this with my mother," explaining that the song resonated more because his mother listened to Kim Dong-ryul's songs a lot. During the recording process, Felix shared his thoughts, saying, "This is truly the first time I've broken a sweat while recording. It's harder than I thought."

During the recording process, attempts were made to capture the vocal tone. According to the subtitles in the video and the conversation of the cast, Felix focused on bringing out the atmosphere of the song by utilizing a heavy low tone instead of his usual clear voice. Felix shared his feelings immediately after recording, saying, "It's truly the first time I've sung a song like this. Since I sang it out loud as I practiced, it came out exactly like that." The participating members showed positive reactions to Felix's low tone and emotional expression.

After finishing the recording, the members held a storyboard meeting to create a music video in the style of early 2000s dramas. The storyboard contains a tragic setting where the protagonist 'Kang Sim-yak', who suffers from heart disease, feels attracted to 'Da Sa-rang', the doctor in charge after a heart transplant, but the original owner of the transplanted heart was 'Sim Ju-in', the former lover of Da Sa-rang.

The members engaged in heated discussions to take on each role. Regarding the role of the protagonist 'Kang Sim-yak', the members presented various character interpretations, and also brightened the atmosphere through wordplay using the names of characters in the play, such as the magician 'Lee Geum-gyeol' or the former lover 'Sim Ju-in'. In particular, to reproduce the dramatic development unique to the 2000s, radical ideas such as 'reincarnating as Stray Kids after the end of the world' or an 'ending where they reunite in heaven' were proposed.

In the process of deciding the music video roles, the members suggested roles according to their respective character personalities. Members who boasted of knowing the 2000s emotions well immersed themselves in role-playing while mentioning the drama styles that were popular at the time. In the latter half of the video, a virtual audition scene conducted according to the set characters followed.

In the audition scene, the members were shown exchanging lines while bringing out the characteristics of the roles they each took, such as the appearance of the 'Peter' character, who has the setting of being from Toronto. In this process, the members completed the storyboard by creating humorous situations using the names and personalities of the characters in the play.
