On the JTBC entertainment program 'Han Moonchul's Dashcam Review', an incident involving a drunk person who climbed onto a parked vehicle to cause a disturbance and the resulting damage was covered.
A drunk person jumping on a vehicle hood like a 'Disco Pang Pang'
The informant in the video stated that while they were parking after finishing a night shift, a woman in her 40s approached and performed sudden actions, such as throwing her shoes toward the vehicle. According to the informant's explanation, the woman continued threatening behavior, such as repeatedly attempting to open the passenger door or thrusting her face into the driver's seat. In particular, the woman climbed onto the vehicle hood and continued to shake her body and jump for about 3 minutes while sitting there. The informant described the situation at the time in the video, saying, "The car kept shaking like a Disco Pang Pang," and noted that they felt like they were going to vomit due to the severe shaking inside the car.
The woman was arrested by the police who arrived at the scene, and during the investigation, it was reported that the perpetrator's side took the position that they were unaware of the situation, stating, "My wife has no memory at all." The video confirmed that the woman had purchased and consumed two bottles of makgeolli at a nearby convenience store.
Refusal of settlement and summary indictment for property damage charges
The victimized informant said they were contacted by the perpetrator's side, but the perpetrator's side showed an attitude of evading the situation. Although the informant proposed a settlement of around 2.5 million won considering the vehicle repair costs, the settlement fell through as the perpetrator's side stated, "It is difficult to do anything with more than 1.5 million won." Ultimately, the case was filed for summary indictment on charges of property damage, and a fine of 1 million won has been requested. The informant stated that repair costs amounted to approximately 2 million won, but since it appears the perpetrator chose to pay the fine, they plan to proceed with recovering damages through civil liability in the future.
Dangerous situations on the road: Sleeping on the street and non-contact accident controversy
In the subsequent video, various dangerous situations occurring on the road were introduced. Dashcam footage captured a drunk person lying in the middle of the road in the early morning hours with shoes taken off, and a scene of an intoxicated couple lying on the road. Additionally, a case was covered where a driver braked suddenly while trying to avoid a pedestrian on a road without a center line, and in this process, the pedestrian claimed a non-contact traffic accident while complaining of back pain. Regarding this matter, the higher authority judged that it is difficult to view it as an accident, stating, "This is not a traffic accident."
Finally, a video was released showing circumstances where a lighter flame was used to melt and damage the tail light part of a vehicle. In the video, it was confirmed that the tail light part was scorched and melted with a lighter flame, resulting in a situation where the entire lamp must be replaced. However, news was delivered that the police are experiencing difficulty in identifying the perpetrator despite checking CCTV.
