It is safer for cats to stay indoors. When living indoors, it is important to create an environment where cats can engage in natural behaviors. Of course, even indoor cats must engage in a minimum amount of exercise and play to prevent boredom and maintain their instincts. Ensuring cats receive daily stimulation helps their physical and mental health.

Here are ways to provide stimulation for indoor pet cats:

1. You can train a cat to use a harness for outdoor walks. For cats that are not accustomed to harnesses or are extremely afraid of going outside, you can create custom window sills so they can enjoy the view.

2. Increase playtime. Cats have a natural hunting instinct. Therefore, you should play with them so they can expend all their energy.

3. Install cat towers of various shapes and heights. Cats love to sit in high places and look down over their territory. In addition to cat towers, you can install cat poles or cat shelves.

4. Hide food or treats around the house. This will make the cat feel as though they are hunting for food themselves. This is a way to exercise the cat's physical abilities while satisfying their hunting instincts.

5. Arrange playtime using mouse-shaped toys that cats can actually catch. It is better to avoid play that only involves chasing objects that cannot be caught, such as lasers.

Just as humans must engage in various activities to stay healthy, cats must also move their bodies.
