An Yu-jin, a member of the group IVE, revealed a surprising eating habit by disclosing her usual food preferences. In the Chuseok special video of the JTBC variety program 'Chef & My Fridge', the contents of An Yu-jin's refrigerator and her preferred menus were introduced.

"Bab-jin-i who seeks Korean food even abroad" Items inside An Yu-jin's refrigerator

In the video, An Yu-jin mentioned the nickname given to her by fans, 'Bab-jin-i', and stated that she likes to make sure to eat Korean food even when she goes on overseas tours. The revealed refrigerator included 'Bonibam' (braised chestnuts) with the inner skin preserved, and An Yu-jin said she wanted to try a 'Chestnut Latte' recipe by eating it with milk. Additionally, she showed signs of diet management, such as storing products where she had collected only the egg whites, excluding the yolks, to shape them after exercising.

An Yu-jin directly stated that she usually prefers spicy food. She likes dishes containing kimchi, such as kimchi-jjim (braised kimchi), kimchi-jjigae (kimchi stew), and kimchi-bokkeumbap (kimchi fried rice), and showed familiarity with spiciness to the extent that she can distinguish up to 5 levels of spiciness. In particular, she added that she enjoys the highest level of Malatang.

From Myeongnan O-du-bi to Hangjeongsal Meju Pasta... preference for unique recipes

An Yu-jin mentioned unique recipes she usually enjoys. According to the video subtitles and the conversation among the cast, she explained that she enjoys a recipe called 'Myeongnan O-du-bi' (pollock roe, cucumber, and tofu bibimbap), which she saw on Reels, by eating it with pollock roe, cucumber, and blanched tofu. Also, among Western menus, she picked 'Hangjeongsal Meju Pasta' as her favorite menu. This is a dish in the form of adding spicy flavor and meju beans to cream pasta.

In addition, she mentioned the 'Stir-fried Seaweed Soup Noodles' recipe, which utilizes a seaweed soup base, as a recently trending delicious menu, expressing interest in dishes utilizing seaweed soup.

Chefs Jung Ho-young and Park Eun Young's 'old man's taste' battle

In the chefs' cooking battle conducted based on An Yu-jin's eating habits, Chef Jung Ho-young and Chef Park Eun Young faced off. Chef Jung Ho-young prepared 'Old Man's Taste Baekban' using Hangjeongsal (pork jowl) for gochujang bulbaek (spicy pork bulgogi) and serving it with kimchi-jjigae. On the other hand, Chef Park Eun Young presented 'Hold Your Breath Love Chicken', which features spicy chicken topped with Yusanseul (braised shredded pork and seafood), and specifically put forward Yusanseul over rice utilizing seaweed soup as her winning move.

As a result of the battle, the evaluation continued as the Hangjeongsal bulbaek and the soup dish using pollock roe prepared by Chef Jung Ho-young captured An Yu-jin's taste.
