Howu Folk Village, Unique Songpyeon Making Battle… Nutella Songpyeon Takes 1st Place

Members of the group H.O.W held a songpyeon-making competition filled with their individual personalities through content with a folk village concept to celebrate Chuseok.

'Unique Songpyeon' Battle Completed with Various Ingredients

In the released video, the members of H.O.W gathered for Chuseok-themed content to conduct a songpyeon-making game. Moving away from traditional methods, the members presented unique songpyeon using their preferred ingredients. The main menu included songpyeon filled with Nutella, songpyeon combining basil paste and apple cinnamon, strawberry jam songpyeon topped with cheese, and songpyeon in the form of omelet-rice style egg dumplings.

In particular, one member created cat-shaped songpyeon using basil paste and apple cinnamon, while another member emphasized a differentiated taste using Nutella. Additionally, creative attempts by the members continued, such as songpyeon with a strawberry jam base topped with cheese and omelet-rice style songpyeon reminiscent of convenience store combinations.

Random Results, Nutella Songpyeon Selected as 'Best Taste'

As a result of the taste evaluation conducted after the songpyeon production, the songpyeon filled with Nutella received the highest score and took 1st place. The member who made the Nutella songpyeon expressed confidence, saying, "This is on a different level," and in the actual evaluation, it was selected as 1st place along with reactions such as "Nutella is delicious."

On the other hand, the songpyeon using basil had mentions regarding its shape and scent but ultimately recorded 3rd place. One member mentioned the difficulty of the production process, saying, "The downside of basil is that it releases too much oil." Conversely, some songpyeon that were expected based only on their appearance received low scores, leaving the members feeling regretful. The member who recorded 5th place shared their thoughts, saying, "I received a more generous result than expected," and the member who took 4th vowed, "Next time, I will make songpyeon that is both pretty and delicious."

Chuseok Games and Members' Impressions

Before making the songpyeon, a game guessing various keywords was conducted. Quizzes themed around K-pop dance, food names (Malatang, Tteokbokki, pasta, etc.), and traditional-related words, as well as determining the order through rock-paper-scissors, followed. During the game process, the members maintained a joyful atmosphere, sharing conversations such as "We need someone who knows K-pop well" or "Speaking slowly consumes time."

Concluding the content, the members sent Chuseok greetings instead, saying, "We hope everyone has a happy Chuseok" and "Next time, we will make even more delicious songpyeon."
