According to a video from KBS Animal TV : Animal for You animal4u, Cheongdol, a Jindo dog living in Wipae Village on Jirisan Mountain, personally guided a group of female students unfamiliar with mountain hiking, accompanying them to their destination, Samhwasil Information Center.

Starting from Wipae Village, Cheongdol led the female students across 23km over approximately 8 hours. Throughout the journey in the video, Cheongdol moved meticulously, checking on the students' condition and moving ahead only to return to them. The female students expressed their gratitude, saying they were able to arrive safely at their hiking destination thanks to Cheongdol. After arriving at the information center, the students tried to provide Cheongdol with water and food, but Cheongdol continued to look around as if still performing his mission.

Cheongdol's return after completing the mission and the family's wait

After safely delivering the guests to their destination, Cheongdol immediately began running toward home. He showed such speed that he covered the 23km path, which had taken 8 hours to travel there, in just 2 to 3 hours on the way back. Cheongdol arrived home around 9 PM, and the village residents, the couple Tae-sun and her spouse, checked the time with worried hearts while waiting for Cheongdol to return.

What greeted Cheongdol upon his return home was the pet dog Jinsun. Jinsun showed her joy by expressing excessive affection toward Cheongdol, and the couple, Tae-sun and her spouse, prepared a special meal of grilled pork belly for the hardworking Cheongdol. Since Cheongdol had been hungry all day, he relieved his fatigue by eating the prepared pork belly voraciously.

Cheongdol's daily life and meeting Boksun

The next morning, Cheongdol went out even though there were no guests staying at the guesthouse. Cheongdol went to meet Boksun, a female Jindo dog living in the house above, and Boksun came out to greet him as soon as Cheongdol arrived. The video captures the scene of Cheongdol meeting Boksun, along with Jinsun following Cheongdol and grazing on grass.

In the video, a village story was mentioned that if the dogs graze on grass, it will rain. Indeed, after Cheongdol and Jinsun grazed on the grass, the sky began to cloud over, followed by a scene where both dogs took shelter under a tent.
