You also do not necessarily need to pack a thick travel guidebook. These days, you can look up any information on a smartphone. If you need a guidebook, photograph or copy only the necessary pages to keep your luggage as light as possible.

Although hardly anyone travels abroad without saving money first, do not carry too much cash. When planning your trip, decide how much you should spend each day and bring only that amount to avoid overspending.

Most people think traveling is more enjoyable with a companion. In fact, however, you can also travel alone. That is because you can meet new people at your destination, interact with them, and exchange information. Traveling alone also lets you decide your own schedule, where you want to go, when to eat, when to sleep, and everything else.
