iPhone 18 Pro Tempered Glass Comparison: 'Geni.B' Takes 1st Place in Reflectivity and Finish Performance
A comprehensive comparison of five AR tempered glass products for the iPhone 18 Pro was conducted…
The criteria for choosing tempered glass for iPhone 18 Pro users have become clear. According to a Techmong video, a comprehensive comparison of five types of AR (Anti-Reflection) tempered glass—designed to lower the display reflectivity (approximately 3%) of the recently released iPhone 18 Pro—was conducted, covering reflectivity, durability, price, finish, thickness, and weight. As a result, the Geni.B Ultimate PRO AR Ultra-High-Definition Anti-Reflection Tempered Glass showed the most outstanding performance.
'Geni.B' Shows Overwhelming Performance in Reflectivity and Integration
The product that took 1st place overall in this test is 'Geni.B Ultimate PRO AR Ultra-High-Definition Anti-Reflection Tempered Glass'. This product recorded a reflectivity of 1.34%, the lowest among the products participating in the test, proving its superior performance in terms of visual clarity. In the video, it showed such overwhelming figures that it was evaluated with the comment, "I think I understand why Geni.B boasted about making it so well this time."
Particularly in the edge finish category, it showed a high level of integration that almost matches the smartphone bezel one-to-one, receiving evaluations that it provides a grip feeling as if the tempered glass were not attached. While attaching tempered glass usually results in a feeling of a lip when gripping the sides, this product was designed with a natural curvature, resulting in almost no sense of heterogeneity. Furthermore, it showed high compatibility, causing no interference even when equipped with genuine cases or very thick cases.
The after-sales service policy was also cited as a strong advantage. Including 'Jinibi Care Plus', an exchange service for incorrect applications, it supports industry-leading after-sales management, such as providing exchange benefits even in cases of damage due to customer negligence. A 30% discount event is being held until September 30, setting the price at approximately 24,000 won, but it was selected as the most recommended product considering reflectivity, finish quality, and AS convenience.
'ColorScale' Focused on Durability and 'Healing Shield' Focused on Finish
2nd place was taken by the 'ColorScale Reflection Cancelling PRO' product. While its reflectivity was in the 1.6% range, which was higher than Geni.B, it showed overwhelming sturdiness by withstanding a 28kg corner impact during durability testing. This appears to be a result of reflecting feedback that previous products lacked durability. It rose to 2nd place overall due to its good integration with a black bezel finish and excellent case compatibility.
3rd place is 'Healing Shield High-End Full-Cover AR High-Definition Tempered Glass'. It recorded an excellent reflectivity of 1.44%, and it features a black edge finish that is similar to the bezel color, resulting in less heterogeneity. The attachment method also adopts the same guide method as Spigen, offering high convenience. However, its durability was measured at a low level in the 2kg range, leaving room for disappointment in terms of impact protection compared to the top-tier products. The price is approximately 23,000 won per sheet when the discount is applied.
Spigen and Sinjimoru Focused on Attachment Convenience and Cost-Effectiveness
'Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit AR Tempered Glass' had unrivaled attachment convenience, receiving a perfect score of 5 out of 5 based on the attachment guide. It has a structure where attachment is finished just by placing it roughly and pulling, allowing even beginners to attach it easily. However, its reflectivity was measured at 2.4%, receiving a disappointing score in terms of AR function, and it remained in 5th place overall, scoring 3 points in terms of aesthetics and grip because the edge finish was designed smaller than other products, resulting in less case interference.
'Sinjimoru Anti-Reflection 1.5% AR PRO Tempered Glass' was selected as 4th. Its reflectivity was measured at 1.9%. While it is the cheapest at the 14,000 won range per sheet, test results showed that its low durability could cause it to break even from minor impacts. Additionally, it was mentioned as a disadvantage that the product is thicker than others, creating a step and potentially negatively affecting the grip.
