Seoul Performance Rehearsal Matching Stage Movements and Lighting
In ‘U-KNOW PROJECT 26 : SCENE#1 in SEOUL Behind EP.1’ on the TVXQ! channel, the process of U-KNOW checking the detailed stage movements ahead of his Seoul performance was captured. On the scene in the video, movements connecting the 2nd floor to the 1st floor, lighting positions, and starting points based on stage numbers were continuously verified. U-KNOW shared opinions on deciding positions that receive good lighting during the ‘Spotlight’ section, and examined the flow of each scene by matching the scene where he rises via a lift and the cross-shaped movement path.
The rehearsal was closer to detailed coordination rather than simple repetition. In the ‘Body Language’ section, he explained a method of adding head movements to a beat that sounds like game sounds, and during the opening performance, he suggested that it would be good to make the final movement larger. As if saying, "Let's go through from the opening performance to VCI," he also continued to check the flow where the video and performance connect from the start of the show all at once.
Reflections on a “Project That Started 8 Years Ago”
After the first staging, U-KNOW confessed that it still doesn't feel real and that he feels some anxiety. He explained that this project began for him 8 years ago and pointed out the meaning that it was created together supported by the strength of the fans. He revealed that the performance has an emotional line beyond simple stage composition, saying there will be points that make the audience emotional and points they can enjoy.
The burden of the preparation process was also mentioned. He explained that while preparing for the performance, the directorial parts were changing until the very end, and there were many discussions. However, he accepted that all those processes were to well express what he has walked through together with the fans. He also expressed his wish that through the performance, audiences might encounter a new format and although there may be lacking parts, he hopes they receive good energy.
Technical Checks Mentioned as Remaining Tasks
After finishing the rehearsal, U-KNOW said he was glad to have practiced that day. Regarding the dancers and Shiho, he said there were no problems, and expressed hope that if he coordinates the technical and acoustic parts with himself, the audience will like it. In fact, there was mention of errors related to acoustic equipment such as headsets, and he added that if those parts are handled well, there should be no problem.
He said that after matching the stage himself, it is more spectacular than expected and he is looking forward to it. He saw that he could convey emotion at a few points and expressed his determination not to miss details until the end. In particular, he mentioned that ‘Spotlight’ will definitely be cool, and continued preparing for the performance along with the realistic comment that he will have to endure physically.
