Living alone comes with various privileges, including the freedom it offers. However, it can also present several problems.

1. One issue with living alone relates to economies of scale. Buying items in bulk is usually cheaper.

However, people who live alone may find bulk purchases burdensome because they cannot consume everything themselves.

In that case, asking nearby family members or friends to buy and use the items together can be a good solution.

2. Moving heavy objects such as wardrobes by yourself can be difficult.

If a wardrobe is too heavy, emptying it before moving it will make the task easier. If possible, taking it apart first is the easiest option.

However, if the furniture is still heavy, you will need help from a friend or neighbor.

3. Receiving deliveries and repair services can sometimes be inconvenient.

There are many solutions to this problem. One is to take time off work to receive a package or let a repair technician in.

If you cannot take time off, you may again need to ask a neighbor for help.

4. Concerns about safety and well-being may arise.

When living alone, you must take precautions yourself, such as locking the door immediately whenever you leave or arrive home.

Pets can also help protect the home.

Building close relationships with neighbors can also improve safety. If you help them, they will help you too.

5. Loneliness and boredom

You may enjoy living alone, but you will often feel lonely and bored.

The pets mentioned earlier can not only protect your home but also ease loneliness.

Other good options include participating in the local community, joining clubs, and attending lectures or similar events.
