Why Women Remain Unmarried and Single

[FamTimes reporter Lee Kyung-han] In South Korea and most other countries around the world, unmarried women are often misunderstood. Many people believe that single women’s happiness is related to whether they are married.

As a result, women are constantly asked about marriage or have to explain at social gatherings why they do not have a partner. Many people mistakenly assume that unmarried women are afraid to commit to a marital relationship.

Single women can also enjoy peaceful, luxurious lifestyles. They may have control over their own time, spend money on travel and shopping, or devote themselves to their careers. Regardless of why they remain single, however, no one has the right to judge single women or their choices.

Single women may have dreamed of marrying the person they want, but for personal reasons, they have simply chosen not to pursue that marriage.

For some women, having a man in their lives may not be essential to their happiness. In other words, marriage and biological maternal instinct may not be their ultimate goals in life.

Every woman is an individual and is free to choose her own purpose in life. In fact, single women can make significant contributions to society in other ways, even without families of their own. Unmarried women can offer advice and support to others and also take on a motherly role.

Single women can be someone to talk to, someone who listens, and someone who gives love to family members and colleagues.

While they are still young and physically strong, unmarried women should use that time as an opportunity to make a difference in everyone’s lives. They may not have a romantic partner who makes their heart race, but women can still live purposeful lives filled with love.
