A veranda is a space created to make use of part of the exposed floor area resulting from a difference in the size of a building’s first and second floors. Although “veranda” and “balcony” are often used interchangeably, they are technically different. When the first floor is larger than the second, part of the first-floor roof remains exposed, and using this area creates a veranda. In other words, a veranda uses the roof of the floor below, whereas a balcony’s floor is not the roof of the floor below. It can also be styled as a cool terrace for summer.

Veranda Interior Design That Feels Like Part of the Home

Decorating verandas has become popular with many people. Home cafés, which have recently surged in popularity, are a particularly popular veranda design choice. Apartment verandas are usually used to store belongings or keep potted plants. However, simply painting the veranda walls and installing a veranda mat, decorative floor tiles, and a storage cabinet can make the veranda feel like part of the home.

Interior Design for Home Gardening

Many people usually fill their verandas with a few small plant pots. However, home gardening that creates a personal garden can make a veranda even more beautiful. Buying a charming veranda storage cabinet and growing various plants there, such as palm trees that stay green throughout all four seasons, can create an excellent veranda interior. Choosing suitable decorative accessories and making good use of the space can result in an excellent veranda design.
