KBS epic drama 'The Great King Munmu' has previewed the story of leaders who bet everything for victory amidst the turbulent period of the Three Kingdoms period. According to the released script reading video, this work deals with the history of 600 years of continuous war, the process of unifying the three kingdoms within that history, and the decisions of individuals who changed the flow of history.

The Foundation of Unification and Figures in the Vortex of War

The drama 'The Great King Munmu' is set against the urgent situation where Silla is surrounded by enemies on all sides, such as Baekje, Goguryeo, and the Tang dynasty. Through the lines and explanations in the video, the cast revealed the historical circumstances faced by each character. Kim Chun-chu is depicted as a figure who lays the foundation for the unification of the three kingdoms through outstanding diplomacy, while Kim Yu-sin appears as a general protecting Silla. Additionally, Yeon Gaesomun of Goguryeo is a character with a powerful presence, and the king of Goguryeo, Go Geon-mu, is portrayed as a figure who bears the pain while contemplating a better future amidst the storms of war.
