&TEAM, feelings ahead of Korean activities... "An album dealing with love, expressing the wolf's imprinting"

The group &TEAM shared the worldview of their new album and the members' feelings ahead of their Korean activities. In this video released through the YouTube channel 'STAN:A', the members shared their reflections on marking their first anniversary since their Korean debut, along with episodes from the process of preparing for their comeback.

&TEAM ahead of Korean activities, concerns between language and culture

&TEAM, who debuted in Korea about a year ago, expressed their concerns regarding language use ahead of this Korean activity. The members candidly mentioned the confusion they experience between Korean and Japanese. One member said that even though their native language is Korean, they need a process of correcting the language in their head through activities such as tours. Another member shared the difficulty of the grammatical order changing when speaking Korean after thinking in English, and shared the curious experience of thinking in Korean in their dreams or hearing Korean in their dreams.

The members also talked about their usual conversation habits. One member mentioned having a habit of just blurted out what they want to say first, stating that they feel satisfaction in expressing their opinions even if the other person does not understand. In response, another member revealed the difference in their personalities, saying that they sometimes fail to speak because they are organizing their thoughts in their head to avoid missing the timing during a broadcast.

'Mark on Me' album, the 'imprinting' of werewolves and romantic changes

The core theme of this comeback album, 'Mark on Me', is 'love', which takes a step further from the existing worldview. The members explained that while they have mainly dealt with the narrative and relationships among the 9 members so far, this album deals with feelings toward a partner called 'you' for the first time.

While the existing &TEAM worldview was centered on a narrative where werewolves fight vampires, this album takes a romantic direction. The members explained, "We captured the concept of 'imprinting', a characteristic of wolves where they only like one mate in their lifetime, in the title." In particular, regarding the lyrics of the title track 'Good Boy', they emphasized a romance that only a wolf can show, saying, "It contains the meaning of allowing oneself, who was not permitted to anyone, to the partner."

Behind-the-scenes footage of the music video was also released. Unlike previous works that had many rough battle scenes, such as dancing on mud or clothes being torn, this time they produced a different atmosphere, such as embracing the partner. The members shared their thoughts on the changed concept, saying, "This music video was easier to film compared to previous works."

The 'headlines' chosen by the members themselves and episodes

In the video, the members personally selected 'headlines' that represent them. NICHOLAS chose the phrase "As long as I understand, it's fine," while EJ chose "It looks like I'm not thinking about anything, but honestly, I think deeply," wittily expressing their respective personalities and characteristics.

Additionally, regarding the title of the B-side track 'Love Jang', they took time to look back at the meaning of 'Love Jang', a notebook where past lovers used to express their feelings. The members continued the pleasant atmosphere by checking the meanings of words that might be unfamiliar and talking about romantic cultures of the past.
